Abstract:
Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) have been one of the key topics at the Workshop on Financing and Investment in Mitigation Actions in West Africa (4 to 5 June 2012, Accra, Ghana). NAMAs are a new instrument being developed under the international climate regime, and provide opportunities for developing countries to access international finance, technology and capacity building support for strategies, policies and programmes that promote sustainable development and greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions.
