Abstract:
Social science research is expected to contribute to policy goals such as speeding up the implementation of energy technologies and changing energy-related consumption patterns. Focusing on these two goals, this Policy Brochure aims to be a guide to policymakers, as well as to others who regularly act as ‘clients’ of social science research results, to help them obtain useful answers from social science research. This brochure provides an assessment of the state of the research field, how it is approached by policymakers and other social science research ‘clients’, and how the results of this research contribute to the desired changes in acceptance and behaviour.
