Abstract:
The aim of this project was to develop membranes and membrane technology suitable for the separation of water during equilibrium reactions, for the shift of the reaction equilibrium, and for the more energy efficient, environmental more benign, and cheaper production of chemical compounds.
The research in this project was split into the following tasks:
· Process design;
· Membrane and support development;
· Membrane reactor research;
· Bench scale testing
· Implementation and coordination
