Abstract:
Acoustic noise measurements have been performed on three commercial windturbines ranging from 550 to 1000 kW. The measurements have been performed
with the standard ground board technique and also with an acoustical
parabola. Special attention was paid to the influence of the blade pitch
angle on the noise production and to the distribution of the noise production
along the rotor blades. All results are available for validation of WT-noise
models. One of the results is a rule of the thumb for the dependence of the
total sound level to the blade pitch angle: -1 dB(A)/degree. 19 figs., 5 tabs.
