Abstract:
Within the framework of Task A of the BIOLICHT project a life cycleanalysis (LCA) has been carried out for present and alternative basic
materials (fibre-reinforced composites), applied in components of
transportation vehicles (fenders and spoilers, sound-insulating screening
caps for the engine, skylight constructions, and seats in buses. After
background information on LCA the aims and determination of the
transportation vehicles components are discussed in chapter 2. In chapter 3
attention is paid to the compilation, documentation and validation of the
required data with respect to the production and use of the fore-mentioned
components. Classification and standardization are briefly dealt with in
chapter 4. 7 refs.
