Abstract:
The principles of the new title concept for waste isolation arepresented. The research on the performance of self-forming and self-repairing (SF and SR) resulted in field experiments (100 m²-scale) using secondary (waste) materials. From the evaluation of these experiments new SF and SR recipes are developed, which demonstrate very good results from a chemical, engineering, geotechnical, environmental and economical perspective. 4 figs., 7 refs.
