Abstract:
Local policy in urban areas has an impact on the total national emissionof CO2. For the city of Amsterdam the actual emission of CO2 in 1993 was investigated and what sources (housing, traffic, waste treatment and the energy supply infrastructure) contributed to that emission. The total amount of CO2 emission for the year 2015 has been calculated with unchanged policy as scenario. Furthermore, it is investigated which of the above mentioned sectors are the most promising to apply CO2 reducing measures. 6 figs., 6 tabs., 17 refs.
