Abstract:
In this report the results of a quick scan on the possibility of implementation of torrefied biofuels in the recent developed CEN en ISO standards (CEN/TC 335 and ISO/TC 238) on Solid Biofuels are presented. Can torrefied biofuels be considered as biofuels? Is it necessary to adapt the existing standard for torrefied biofuels? Is there a need for new dedicated standards? Answers and recommendation are given in this report.
