Abstract:
The Dutch Minister of Housing wants to send all home owners an indicative energy label of their houses to make them more aware of energy saving potentials. ECN was asked how to make an indicative energy label using information from existing databases. Conclusion of this research is that there is no information available about the energy characteristics of all homes. These characteristics must be estimated using data about the penetration of energy saving measures in the Dutch housing stock, divided by housing type and building year.
