Abstract:
The aim of the doctoral research is to develop tools that support the design of energy efficient buildings. In this report three cases are
outlined in which the decision making process for the design of energy
efficient buildings and the choice for energy saving components is simulated.
All three cases concern the design of office buildings:
(1) polder board (Hoogheemraadschap) of Rijnland, Leiden, Netherlands;
(2) building 42 of the Energy research Centre of the Netherlands (ECN) in Petten, Netherlands; and
(3) a dynamic office building of a division of the Dutch railway
company NS in Haarlem, Netherlands.
