Abstract:
A lifestyle oriented energy demand model named ELSA (Energy and Lifestyle Simulation Approach) is introduced. The model comprises modules for energy
consumption at home and energy consumption of private cars. Next to this
so-called direct energy consumption the indirect or embodied energy
consumption of non-energy household expenditures is treated in a separate
module. In addition to energy requirements energy related emissions are
calculated and separated by demand side and supply side factors. 14 figs., 13 tabs., 21 refs.
