Abstract:
The efficiency of photovoltaic (PV) modules decreases at a highertemperature of the module. For roof-integrated PV-installations the
temperature of the PV-module is determined by ambient temperature, solar
radiation, wind speed and wind direction. Temperature increases can be
limited by air ventilation behind the module. High ambient temperature and
high solar radiation are not very common in the Netherlands. It could be
worthwhile to investigate the effects of the temperature on the annual energy
yield of a PV-module, which is not ventilated at the backside. In this study
the annual energy loss of such a non-ventilated PV-module is calculated. 7
