Abstract:
This report gives a description of the methodology used for calculating particular matter concentraties due to emissions originating from intensive animal husbandry for different emission scenarios. This study was performed in the context of the Dutch National Cooperative Programme on Air Quality. This programme requires the evaluation of the effects of spatial projects and reduction measures on air quality. The research described in this report focuses on the emission from stables in the different Dutch agricultural areas and the plans that were constructed for these areas.
Overall goal of this research is to get insight in the maximum concentrations that can occur around intensive animal farms. This insight is needed for finally being able to evaluate the effectiveness of the measures taken in the context of the Dutch National Cooperative Programme on Air Quality.
