Abstract:
This report gives advice on the inclusion of renewable heat in the existing SDE feed-in premium scheme. The premium structure, in which the actual payment is corrected for the market price of the renewable product (such as electricity or biomethane), is also applicable to renewable heat. The market price for renewable heat can be a derivative of the gas price on the assumption that natural gas use is avoided by the renewable heat installation. With a distinction into a few categories (max. 10), the SDE can offer an effective and efficient support for new installation for renewable heat.
