Abstract:
The technical basis and the regulations for the type certification ofsmall wind turbines are described, along with the aspects to be investigated
and the certification procedures. For the certification criteria the IEC
1400-2 standard will be applied. Additional technical requirements are
formulated for grid connected systems. The required test programme and
testing procedures are given. 4 appendices, 6 refs.
