Presented at: Seventh International Symposium on Solid Oxide Fuel Cells, SOFC VII, Tsukuba, Japan, 3-8 juni 2001.
Abstract:
InDEC (Innovative Dutch Electro Ceramics) Pilot Production Ltd. was founded in September 1999. The mission of InDEC is to routinely manufacture planar solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) components. Two cell types are currently offered, i.e. electrolyte supported cells and anode supported cells. Key words that cover the quality of the cells are: high electrical efficiency, good stability, oxidation/reduction resistance and quality/product assurance. Manufacturing technicques used are tape casting and screen-printing on the basis of batch-wise production technology. The current, yearly capacity of InDEC is 1000 m2 of ceramic SOFC components. The strategy of InDEC is to further reduce manufacturing costs by investing into a semi-continuous production line and by translating the current manufacturing know-how into this new production line.
