Abstract:
An algorithm has been developed that provides filter parameters forpitch control loops in order to compensate for dynamic inflow effects.
This improves the loop stability, especially near rated conditions.
The filter behaviour reflects the 'inverse of the normalised' rotor-integral
dynamic wake behaviour in accordance with the ECN differential equation
wake model. Any (existing) pitch controller can be upgraded with such
a filter. The algorithm has been implemented and incorporated in the
ECN controlled design tool.
