Abstract:
An overview is given of the work that has been done on the standardization of methods for the characterization of biofuels and solid recovered fuels. For biofuels a complete set of prestandards are available, conversion of pre-standards to standards is in good progress. The development of a standard biocarbon content method based on the 14C isotope measurement will be an important tool for carbon dioxide trading purposes. (Kyoto protocol)
