Abstract:
The efficiency of photovoltaic (PV) modules decreases at a highertemperature of the module. For roof-integrated PV-installations the temperature of the PV-module is determined by ambient temperature, solar radiation, wind speed and wind direction. Temperature increases can be limited by air ventilation behind the module. High ambient temperature and high solar radiation are not very common in the Netherlands. It could be worthwhile to investigate the effects of the temperature on the annual energy yield of a PV-module, which is not ventilated at the backside. In this study the annual energy loss of such a non-ventilated PV-module is calculated. 7 refs.
