Abstract:
Since wall insulation of buildings and quality of glazing improve moreand more, the window frame becomes the weak point in the facade from a thermal perspective. This report goes into a new 'frameless' window construction. It shows, that the best solution for positioning the glass is in the middle of the insulation. Technical principles are shown and tested. The thermal improvement of the total wall construction is considerable as is shown in the report. 59 refs.
