Presented at: European Offshore Wind 2009 Conference, Stockholm, Sweden, 14-16 september 2009.
Abstract:
This work presents the reference wind speed at heights between 60 and 150 meter over the Dutch part of the North Sea, as determined by using the Gumbel-Bergström method in combination with wind statistics from the Offshore Wind Atlas of the Dutch part of the North Sea. Reference wind speed is the extreme 10 minute average wind speed at turbine hub height with a recurrence period of 50 years.
