Abstract:
The Benefits and Costs Assessment (BCA) developed in the deliverable D6.1 is then
implemented in a toolbox aimed at allowing an automatic application of the methodology
starting from the scenario simulation files produced by the WP2 (in the format produced
by the ANTARES simulator developed by RTE) and allowing a complete appraisal of the
cost/benefit indicators, the elaboration of a scoring parameter and the creation of a final
reporting, both in tabular and graphical form.
The toolbox itself is the object of the present deliverable D6.2 and the present manual
constitutes a “companion booklet” allowing a practical start-up of a new user.
The e-Highway2050 BCA toolbox is entirely developed in Visual Basic for Applications
(VBA) for the MS-Access 2010 platform, a widely used software. The motivation for this
choice is for making it easy the testing of the toolbox within off-the-shelf PCs with a basic
SW endowment.
The D6.2 (SW and manual) is also conceived a public deliverable of the project, with the
aim to allow everybody who can be interested to download and test the BCA toolbox.
